Much of what may be considered to be personal information is collected directly from yourself when you:

· Complete the Bothyart online contact form to facilitate initial engagement

· Communicate via email to discuss services available

· Engage in telephone contact to progress services

· Provide contact details during face to face interactions

· Exchange text (SMS) messages

· Utilise messenger applications (eg Whatsapp etc)

All of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

· To provide a means to discuss the viability of, and facilitate the successful completion of, and purchase of a commissioned piece of unique artwork

· To provide the means to discuss the availability of completed artwork

· To provide delivery details for any purchased artwork

We will not share/disclose any of your personal information with third parties unless specifically required to do so by law or if you violate our terms of use.
 

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are: 

· Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting sandi@bothyart.com 

· We have a contractual obligation whereby Bothyart is required to process your information in order to fulfil the required artwork order

· We have a legitimate interest whereby the processing of your personal information is necessary to complete the agreed transaction

How we store and protect your personal information 

All of your personal information is stored electronically on password protected devices. In addition we implement all reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices in order to protect your personal information and ensure that such personal information is not accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.  However, these measures do not guarantee that your information will not be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed by breach of such precautions. By using our service, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to assume these risks.

We will keep your contact details, name, address, telephone number and email address only for as long as is required to complete the agreed artwork transactions.  We will then dispose of your information by deleting all related personal information from all relevant devices.

Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
